I want to be able to video chat with someone who has the iPhone 4 and I was wondering if the older iPhone could video chat with it?

Any phone that has video chat on it will ve able to chat with you. I’m pretty sure that the older iPhone has video chat. So you’ll be able to video chat with it… As long as it has service. Lol. Or if it can do it all on its own.
Unfortunately, as far as iPhones go, only the iPhone 4 is capable of FaceTime (The iPhone’s method for video chat). It can videochat with other iPhone 4′s, as well as iPod Touch’s (4th generation)
Now, if you want to video chat using an App, you’ll want to check with the App to see what phones it connects up with.
