I have had this battery for 5 days now, and the battery life is very poor. I would estimate that it lasts about half the time my stock batter does. I will be seeking a replacement/refund.

I sent the battery back to the seller and got a replacement in less than a week. The new battery is working great. The only disappointment was having to spend the extra shipping cost to get it replaced. The seller was very helpful and responsive through the whole process.

The best battery ever for the best phone ever. My HTC EVO flashed to Cricket with plan $40.00 unlimited talk, text and unlimited data 3G. Installed SlingPlayer for Android and I watch live TV .

  4. So I got the second battery and my phone did power up. I downloaded an app that monitors your battery life, plots the battery state of charge, and let’s you export that data. I wish there was a way that I could post the graphs here.

Some points that I discovered using this tool. I have used it for a few days and the data seems to be consistent. I plan on doing the same with the stock battery to see what the major differences are. But here are some things to keep in mind.

    1. The battery charge never goes to 100%. It is always usually at 90% even if you let it charge for 8 hours.

    2. The battery performed really well between 90% and 60%. I was using Pandora, SprintTV, Google Maps…the usual big hitters and the battery lasted for at least 5 hours between this range.

    3. Once you get below 60%, even if you are lightly using the phone, the battery charge drops dramatically (as if I had Pandora or Sprint TV on).

    4. When you charge up the battery, make sure it is passed 70%, otherwise the battery will lose charge fast.

    5. I wouldn’t go below 40% battery level for too long. And I would never let the battery go below 5%. That would pretty much kill the battery.

I’ll give it 4 stars just because the “curve” between 90% and 20% is not linear. It would be great if they improved the battery performance between 20% and 60%.

This battery has a design flaw that I found tonight. I have had this phone 1 week and took a few pictures and videos with it. Tonight at a restaurant for dinner, and with the new battery installed with the bulging back plate, I noticed that all the pictures had a white out area in the lower right corner, one that wasn’t present before.

Looking at the back of the phone you can tell that the bottom LED, with this bulging back plate, reflects off the protruding back plate area in front of the LED and causes the flash to shoot upwards, whiting out a good part of all picture that use flash and in the lower right corner.

Otherwise the battery is great, huge, heavy but works. I am returning mine however.
