The 6120 Classic is a low-priced and small-sized Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP1 smartphone with a monoblock/candybar form factor. It’s extremely small and cheap compared to other smartphones, but has processing power and features similar to the much more expensive N95. The 6121 Classic is absolutely identical to the 6120 Classic, but has a slightly different set of 3G/WCDMA/UMTS frequencies. This video accompanies the Nokia Duck review of the phone. Nokia Duck: Nokia 6120 Classic Review

3.5G is the much faster version of 3G, it can have speeds up to five or ten times faster. It’s also sometimes called HSDPA/HSUPA or HSPA.
You can only get 3.5G in areas with 3.5G coverage though, but these are starting to become very common.
You can see the name of the song and artist by clicking on the “statistics and data” tab above these comments.
The 6120 is much faster and smaller, but the N73 has a better camera.
Which one you want depends on what is important to you.
i also watched theese videos where they press c to rotate into landscape mode. if i understood it correctly, inside some data (pictures and videos i.e.) if you press and hold the c key, it turns into landscape mode. hope i’m correct.
which is better? N73 or 6120? better in what caracteristic?
agree. i am a 6120 user in malaysia and the 3G goes great -here its marketed as 3.5G- not sure what the .5 is about though. batt is satisfactory in my use (sales&marketing). no easy breaking either and the only down side is the small key pads- for fat fingers- thats all to it.
Hi everybody,
Great phone and great song too !!!
Does anyone knows the name of the song and the band.
Thanks
As for the camera quality, it’s very good for a smartphone that’s under 200 euros including taxes. I can’t think of anything in the same price bracket with a better camera.
I’m not quite sure where you’re getting your info on GPRS speed or battery life either, they’re absolutely identical for both phones on the official Forum Nokia tech specs.
In fact all of the phones’ official tech specs are absolutely identical except for the 3G frequencies.
The 6120 is most definitely NOT easy to break, it’s one of the toughest smartphones I’ve ever reviewed. It’s one of the few smartphones I was happy to take with me everywhere in all conditions.
It has smallish keys because it’s a smallish phone. When it was launched it was the smallest smartphone in the world.
The 6120 and 6121 were announced simultaneously to cover all 3G frequencies, the 6121 was not any kind of follow-up device.
Nokia has fixed some of the worser problems of the 6120 with the new 6121.
1. New battery that doesn’t heat up the phone like the old one.
2. Much better battery Life.
3. Much faster- 6120 has gprs class 11 which gives u a speed of 48 kbps whereas 6121 classic has gprs class 32 which gives u a speed of 107 kbps. Same is the case with edge, one has edge class 10 and the other class 32.
Still. Smallish keys, poor image quality with camera, and easy to break.. not that i plan on dropping mine.
I would check out the “reviews” section of the All About Symbian website, it has reviews of lots of useful apps.
The C button is the delete button. It always has been on all S60 devices. Its only purpose is to delete things, I think C stands for “clear”.
Some applications let you use the 6120 in landscape mode, for example the web browser has a “rotate screen” option that puts it in landscape mode.
However, there’s no option for putting the main interface in landscape mode.
ok i have this phone but i need one more question please reply nokia duck
i saw a video on youtube using landscape mode on nokia 6120 by clicking the c button but when i click the c button it say delete this item but is it true that there is a landscape mode on the mobile or can we download landscape and it will work?
yes i mean some serious applications like coreplayer or handy taskman(i already have them)
maybe some applications for editing photos or music or any kind of useful applications.
I think I messaged you about the warmth thing? Basically, all phones get slightly warm if you use them for an hour, especially if it’s a very processor-intensive thing like a 3D game.
On the Symbian apps thing, did you want games or serious applications?
i finally got my nokia 6120!!it’s an awesome phone!but after u use it for like an hour it get’s really warm maybe hot why?and could u please recommend me some useful symbian applications?
This phone is superb..very nice and small
very nice..its a very cool phone
i’m goin to buy one tomorrow… it looks so cool!!!!
It is a good phone, one of Nokia’s best.
really cool. il go buy it next week!
omg thats sooooo cool i want this “smart-phone”!!!!!!!
The 6120, because network-locked phones are evil.
one more question what would u prefer the nokia 6120 or the 6124 ?:)
