@ThePedrozaSanchez attempts won’t always be successful, just be patient. and you cannot directly get the version… i had to another version first before this one… just take note of this version [v50.0.005]. installation may take several minutes. i highly recommend wifi connection. good luck!

@prettyadriel take advantage of your wifi. just go to any free wifi area and connect to a host [setting, connectivity, wireless LAN]… or if your handset’s gprs is enabled, it will do. then key in *#0000#, options and then check for updates. there are othere versions aside from this and updates may take several minutes. i always like it free so i always go with the wifi. haha. good luck!
what can i do to update my phone?…when i type *#0000#, it says no update… when i plug it in the computer…the laptop doesnt recognise any device…….
@Sanbert09 there’s just one ugly thing about software version 50.0.005 though. when using a theme then tapping a name from the contacts bar, and then changing the theme… the color of the box containing the name of the person, his pic plus the call, sms, setting, etc icons still will be that of the prev theme that you used. my 5530 has that prob. i hate that. but other than that, the firmware is really neat.

@Sanbert09 hi! updated software versions sometimes offer different features. ex: the nokia 5800 have no kinetic scrolling and can only contain a maximum of four contacts on the contacts bar in the homescreen… the new software version that you can download for free eps. when using wifi, gives you a maximum of 20 contacts plus kinetic scrolling… and im not sure about it, but updating software somewhat reformats the phone, like cleaning the whole thing thus making it faster again… not sure.

@nniittrroommee x6 is cool. it’s a really nice phone. but it was a little too expensive for me, and just compared to 5800 so… you know.

@nniittrroommee hahaha… no. 5800′s standard UI only has 4 maximum slots in its contacts bar and has no kinetic scrolling. this software version has’em.
I don’t get it . what is so new? the fact thai it changes the theme very fast??
