But I mean…you knew what you were getting in to. It was the Clarity tour… I don’t know how much more specific they can get. We already knew going into it that it was going to be a mellow show.
They really are worth it. They are never a disappointment. I do hope you will catch another show, because I’ve rocked out at many a Jimmy concert
Roxnroll 4 sure….. I have seen Jimmy Eat world a few times before so was expecting more of a burst of energy from the show… I am glad that Jimmy Eat World put on a show for the die hard fan…. but still stand by the fact that i should be able to walk into any show and rock out….. thanks for posting and i will catch JEW again -YTC (lorn)
The thing is, this concert was for a die hard JEW fan. They’ve performed more upbeat concerts, and they have more upbeat albums. Clarity is definitely way more mellow. JEW can’t be judged by this concert alone. I had some people come up to me and ask me if they were going to turn it up, but if that’s what they were expecting, this wasn’t the right Jimmy concert for them to see. Clarity is my all time fave album, so this concert was a dream come true for me. So for me, this was my fave ever.
Well, it’s actually 23 now. I went to the show in Tempe, AZ too. It was a once (or twice)in a lifetime type of show. I’ve seen them mostly in LA. I can’t say it was the best show overall, but, the fact that it was the whole album, and the newer version of Sky Harbor made it rank in the top 3 easily.
I hear ya. I’ve never understood the “I’m going to the show, and we’ll just talk all night” mentality. I mean, I’ll comment here and there, but, not through a whole song.
Ya…. I am a big fan of hanging back , but it was kinda tough at this show to many people standing around talking…..
This vid kinda bummed me out. I wish someone who knew more about Clarity made it. “Turned the volume up a little more, not had as much ‘Clarity….” I mean that sums up this video pretty much. 22nd show dude, you are my idol. How did it compare to the other 21? This was my 6th time seeing them and it was hands down the best show I’ve seen by them, and by anyone, in a long time.
I’m the 22nd show dude, and honestly, this is the same kinda crowd they always have out here. Most of the time the crowd is low key for whatever reason. I’m fine with that though, I just hang back, cause I’m old. Hah!
