Microsoft just launched their new Windows Phone 7 Series at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It’s a completely re-imagined mobile operating system from MIcrosoft. Windows Mobile is no longer, it will be replaced by the Windows Phone brand. The UI is based on “hubs” that use multiple panes for different features.

that design looks quite fresh compared to other OSs out there now
its all good and well being at the forefront of inovation but its staying there Microsoft have never had a problem coming up with new ideas technologies, they just never develop them to there full which then results in them being trashed by apple and open source.
I would like to have the phone in the video, any idea if microsoft is looking to have it not only as a prototype but also a commercial product?
Just another win7 theme shell
@JCSVINDUSTRIES i think you just shit on that apple fan boy
Windows Phone 7 OS is much better than any other mobile OS out there.. like Microsoft says, it´s a new beginning
I cant wait for that phone
:)
android soooo much better!!!!!!!!!!
i think samsung is making a wp7 phone and most of their new phones have amoled screens
why are they trying to copy the i phone ?
I PHONE<3
This is so similar to the Zune, pretty cool! But, he never shows how to do the very basic stuff like sending a text message or making a phone call. All those features are nice, but to me, the main purpose of a phone is still to make calls and do texting. I’d like to know how easy that is. Regardless, I hope they bring some of these new features to the Zune HD!
@iphone4vzw Like copying stuff from the Zune for their iPod? Everyone talks about MS copying this or MS copying that. What about what Apple’s copied? FM-song tagging on the new iPod Nano. Microsoft had that on the Zune for years before Apple decided to add radio and the tagging feature. If you wanna talk about copying, there’s some for ya.
@ciberyo3001 What the heck are you talking about? The ui on both devices is so different.
I hope someone will bring WP7 phone with amoled screen to market!
Saying MS copied Apple is just pure jealousy. WP7 and iPhone OS are so different in the basic prinsiples. Iphone is really really app-centric and WP7 is more about Hubs and making things happening in one place.
They both have black “wallpapers”, but I don’t think you can really say MS copied it.
what a beautiful cheap iphone immitation.
I really like this!! I don’t think anyone can deny that this is good and with the right support from developers the right hardware and the right services at launch it could dare I say it be better than the current iphone. Then again who knows what Apple have up their sleeve for the next iteration of the iphone…
@iphone4vzw
how do you figure. yeah i know mac created the iphone . but wm7 looks badass, they re did their whole system. and its not just for at&t. its going to alot of carriers. so in the business perfecting the smartphone and mp3 from the ground up on the WORLD MOST USED OS.. its clear that microsoft is steping their game up. oh lol you seen macs stock lately?
How has Microsoft copied Apple AT ALL? Microsoft were the first to have touchscreen phones, not Apple. The interface is imo much better than my iPhone and this interface seems very intuitive to me.
It’s different and kudos to Microsoft for going in a different direction, but for me, that UI would irritate very quickly.
wait so this is a quir microsoft nockoff iphone great job you all can copy first the ipod apple must be thinking of something great to make
