I’m so proud of this girl. I really believe she deserves to be known. She has a chance here in America.
To the people who comment on her English: She will get better. English is da Philippines’ second language. And you can’t really say anything cause you can understand what she’s singing. I know for a fact that she IS around the world because of her amazing voice. Look at her now.

@xobile187 Thus anything about the recognition of the Filipinos abroad is considerd “Pride.” These include the Filipino who is the head chef in White house since Bush’s administration and the personal doctor of Clinton who is also a Filipino. Even celebrities with Filipino blood are considered PRIDE such as Enrique Iglesias, APL of Black Eyed Piece, Rob Schneider, Nicole of Pussycat, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Vanessa Minnillo, Leah Salonga who was behind the songs of Jasmine and Mulan, etc
@xobile187 I think it is because the Philippines has undergone myriad of oppressions and disrespect from other countries which began more than 300 years ago. In a few circumstance, Filipinos continue to experience racial discrimination. The most recent one was from a member of a British council (I am not familiar with the story, however). This “member” was forced to resign after his comment which he thought was surreptitious aired internationally.

Why do filipino’s always say “filipino pride” or “I’m proud to be filipino” whenever another filipino is successful? I just find it funny… btw.. Charice is doing great! I hope she goes far, she’s a great singer.

I Love how Charice does not need a band and fancy dancers in the background to sound awesome. I can’t imagine her sounding better, however, with the right audio, stage, sound engineer, and concert hall HOLY she will blow the roof off of it!!!
