RIM released an update to the blackberry bridge app v1.0.5.6 and the Blackberry Playbook v1.0.7.2942, which allow some 3rd party apps to work now without tehtering or bring on wifi. Just another reason to buy the plybook if you have a Blackberry Smartphone. Accu-Berry.com @accuberry @accuberryedwin

hi there, has RIM fixed the problem of native mail client and calender yet? since I dont own a blackberry phone for the bridge thing.

You can use your regular browser and it will detect that theres no wifi, and use your bridge automatically
you can still use it from my understanding there is no way day get block it unless you’re tethering. Tethering turns your blackberry smartphone into a modem, when bridging you using the same data you blackberry is using. not one of my at&t buddies are having problems bridgeing. hope that helps.
not sure if your on att but i heard att is blocking the bridge between phone and play book. You know how to get around that?
